We are looking for a Junior ETL Specialist with experience using best practices to design and develop Informatica PowerCenter domains, workflows (ETL) and error reports. A solid understanding of PowerCenter 9.1 is essential for this position as well as a proven ability to work quickly and independently and to provide professional documentation.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business and other technical groups
  • Work with team to design, develop and deliver application using Informatica
  • Run routines to convert PL/SQL Extract/Transform/Load (ETLs) from core systems to Informatica ETLs        
  • Work on a team that develops new routines for ETL performance optimization, monitoring and logging of ETL jobs
  • Monitor ETL completions and logs and provide status of data loading and perform ETL failure recovery when needed
  • Review, analyze and identify gaps in business requirements and functional requirements documents
  • Providing technical support for issues including hands-on troubleshooting and Implementing enhancements and customizations
  • In conjunction with the business analysts, review client data to ensure validity and completeness, and work with clients to revise as necessary 
  • Work on the team that develops and validates integration (ETL) routines needed to pull client data based on documented results of client data validation processes
  • Document technical and system specifications for ETL processes 

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience ETL experience using Informatica PowerCenter (Repository Manager, Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, Mappings, Mapplets, and Transformations)
  • 3+ years' hands on experience with administration, installation, and configuration of Informatica
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and a general interest in the healthcare industry 
  • Familiarity with operating in cloud environments

 Job Skills:

  • Informatica PowerCenter 9.1
  • Informatica Data Quality
  • Informatica Data Masking
  • Databases: DB2 and Oracle
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in integration of various data sources like Oracle, Flat Files, XML files and other data sources
  • JIRA experience preferred
  • Java/J2EE
  • IBM WebSphere, MQ Series
  • IBM Infosphere Master Data Management
  • iLog


  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but 6 years of applicable work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.  Preferred in business, computer science, information systems, or economics

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Certifications related to Cloud, DBA and Informatica (ICP) preferred
  • HHS / CMS Clearance preferred

 Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present proposals and performance data, comfortable interfacing all levels of organization
  • Ability to write clear and concise creative content in a highly confidential manner


  • Willing to travel occasionally as needed

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.  May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
