We are seeking a Web Engineer to join our team and support our client in Arlington, VA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Works with software development tools such as Active Server Pages development, JavaScript development, HTML development, XML/web services development, SQL (T-SQL) applications development, or SOA based Applications development to support the business functions of our client.

Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience building progressively more complex web applications and troubleshooting applications
  • 3+ years implementing Knowledge Management (KM) principles and applications
  • Experience developing and following KM/SharePoint governance plans
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • A track record of managing technical staff and financial resources through various lifecycle phases
  • Demonstrated understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards
  • Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
  • Deep expertise and hands on experience with Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL and API's.
  • Deep functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.) is needed to be successful in this position.
  • Strong grasp of security principles and how to apply them

  • Install, maintain, and operate filtering software that screens inbound information flows for viruses, Trojan horses, and other unauthorized software, and screens outbound web traffic such that this traffic only connects to sites that are consistent with authorized purposes


  • Bachelor's Degree is required.

 Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:                                      

  • Relevant programming / web certifications preferred
  • Project Management certifications preferred
  • ITIL v3 Foundations preferred
  • DoD Information Assurance Work Force (IAWF) DOD 8570 IAT II (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP or CISSP) required
  • Security Clearance: Current Secret or Current Interim Secret clearance required

 Communication Skills: 

  • Excellent business and technical communication skills including the following: Email, documentation, presentation, Virtual, Telephone  


  •  Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%)

Environmental Requirements: 

  • Mainly sedentary work in an office environment.
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Flexible to work extended hours.
