Unissant is looking for a senior Business Analyst / Project Coordinator in support of a DoD program. This position understands the work processes of assigned business areas, and collects user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application solutions. Responsibilities include business analysis, data validation, project coordination, quality assurance, and documentation. Also supports help desk activities for Tier 1 tickets. Works independently with limited work direction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) effort for a PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
  • Work closely with senior-level government clients to define business requirements and develop functional solutions
  • Refine high-level requirements into detailed, development-ready user stories
  • Conduct gap analysis between delivered functionality and client requirements and recommends solutions
  • Work closely with development team to ensure requested capabilities can be achieved
  • Work independently on assignments where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendation or decisions
  • Intense research into complex data/information manipulation. Recognizes and acts on inconsistencies in data or results and escalates unusual problems
  • Provide help desk customer service support. Resolve Tier 1 tickets, escalate Tier 2 and Tier 3 tickets
  • Performs system, interface, and performance testing
  • Utilizes quality control and testing tools
  • Provides coordination and training to stakeholders and end users
  • Creates and updates project documentation
  • Updates project schedules

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Operations Management or highly related field of study.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of seven years business analysis experience in a lead role required, preferably on O&M projects
  • Minimum of two years' experience with client facing consulting engagements
  • Minimum of two years' experience with project coordination with updating project schedules.
  • Knowledge of Military Manpower is highly desirable
  • Help desk support experience desired
  • Experience with PeopleSoft applications is a plus

  • Enthusiastic, proactive, positive attitude with good listening skills and high integrity
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks assigned
  • Able to work closely with Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders to develop requirements and/or user stories
  • Able to perform functions to improve application quality and / or coordinate technical responses to user assistance requests
  • Work as an integrated member of the project team

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Must have active Secret clearance or higher
  • PMP certification desirable

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present ideas and comfortable interfacing with client and team members
  • Ability to write clear and concise content in a highly confidential manner

Travel:

  • Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%).

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.  May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
