Unissant is looking for a senior PeopleSoft technical expert in support of FMTS maintenance and upgrade activities. This position supports, customizes, configures, and enhances PeopleSoft HCM application. This position understands the work processes of assigned business areas, and collects user requirements and translates them into well-engineered, tested, and deployed business application solutions. Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and maintenance of information. Works independently with limited work direction. Also supports system maintenance administration activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations & Maintenance (O&M) effort for a 9.1 PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
  • Support upgrade of PeopleSoft HCM system from v9.1 to v9.2.
  • Apply subject matter expertise to identify, develop, and implement PeopleSoft best practices techniques to improve engagement, productivity, mitigate risks, and resolve issues.
  • Support team and client in both functional and technical hands-on activities, including requirements gathering, application enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and/or supporting application software.
  • Meet with functional users to define requirements, design and then develop code.
  • Manage FMTS application.
  • Manage PeopleSoft security to create and maintain access into the application.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree is required. Preferred field of study in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Operations Management or highly related field of study.

Work Experience:

  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM version 9.1 or higher, including PeopleSoft upgrades.
  • Minimum of seven years PeopleSoft experience with minimum two years of PeopleSoft administration experience
  • XML Publisher experience to create and maintain reports
  • Knowledge of Military Manpower is highly desirable
  • Experience with client facing consulting engagements desirable
  • DoD experience desirable

Job Skills:

  • Strong PeopleCode skills with ability to reverse-engineer code in order to understand technical process and business logic to maintain, modify, enhance capability
  • Work with migration tools, analyzing and retrofitting PUM images
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Proficient in PeopleSoft Query Tool
  • Strong writing and presentation skills

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • PeopleTools certification desirable
  • Security plus certification desirable
  • Must have active Secret clearance or higher

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written skills, ability to present ideas and comfortable interfacing with customer and team members
  • Ability to write clear and concise content in a highly confidential manner

Travel:

  • Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%).

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment.  May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
  • Flexible in working extended hours
